The Maine State Retirement Fund Amendment was on the November 5, 1991 ballot in Maine, where it was approved. It was the 159th constitutional amendment added to the Maine Constitution.
The amendment was legislatively-referred to the ballot by the Maine Legislature.
The purpose of the amendment was to establish that funds appropriated to the Maine State Retirement System may not be diverted to another purpose.
