The Maine Export of Surplus Hydroelectric Power Referendum, also known as Referendum Question No. 1, was on the September 9, 1929 ballot in Maine as a legislatively-referred state statute, where it was defeated. The measure would have allowed the exportation of surplus hydroelectric power out of state.[1][2]
