The Maine Timing of Initiative Elections Amendment was on the 1980 ballot in Maine as a proposed constitutional amendment to the Maine Constitution. It was approved.

The amendment was placed on the ballot by the Maine State Legislature.

The purpose of the amendment was to "Change the referendum provisions so that the direct initiative and people's veto elections can be held at the same time as a scheduled statewide election."
