Two Manchester Township Cemetery & Recreation Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the township of Manchester which are in Morgan County.

Both measures were approved

The first measure sought to renew the current cemetery levy which is set at a rate of $.05 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for maintenance and operational costs of the cemeteries in the township.

Cemetery Measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Manchester Township for the purpose of MAINTENANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP CEMETERIES at a rate not exceeding five-tenths (0.5) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to five cents ($0.05) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
