The Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District Bond was a school bond brought to the April 7 ballot by the school board in the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District which is in Milwaukee County. The measure sought to issue debt in the amount of $4,000,000. The additional funds will be used to upgrade and maintain district facilities.

This is one of the first two referenda the district has placed on the ballot in 20 years.[1] You can read about the other one here: Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District Referendum.

Status

Passed, with 972 "yes" votes and 465 "no" votes.[2]

Tax impact

The increase on taxes for a $250,000 property would be approximately $235 per year if both measures are approved. This would be offset somewhat by retiring the debt from the last referendum.[1]

Wording of referendum

BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin that there shall be issued pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $4,000,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of repairing, updating and maintaining school facilities and technology infrastructure."[2]
