Grisanti ran in the 2012 election for New York State Senate District 60. He defeated Kevin T. Stocker in the Republican primary on September 13, 2012. Grisanti defeated Marie C. Clark and Brian J. Siklinski in the Independence primary. He defeated Michael L. Amodeo (D) and Gregory L. Davis (W) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
