Henry graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from Texas Southern University and later obtained a Master's degree from Springfield College.
Henry is also the Program Coordinator of the Woman's Center at Delaware Technical and Community College in Wilmington.
Before she was a Senator, Henry was active in various human service careers; working at the YMCA, United Way of Delaware, Director of Delaware Guidance Service, Administrator for the Ingleside Retirement Community and Executive Director of Girls Incorporated of Delaware.[1]

Henry represents Delaware Senate District 2 which is located in the northern part of New Castle County, it includes parts of Wilmington as well as some of its suburbs.[8]
