Margaret Rose Henry has been a Democratic member of the Delaware Senate since 1994. She has been re-elected twice since coming into office to finish the term of Herman Holloway in 1994. She currently serves as the Senate Majority Whip.

Henry graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from Texas Southern University and later obtained a Master's degree from Springfield College.

Henry is also the Program Coordinator of the Woman's Center at Delaware Technical and Community College in Wilmington.

Before she was a Senator, Henry was active in various human service careers; working at the YMCA, United Way of Delaware, Director of Delaware Guidance Service, Administrator for the Ingleside Retirement Community and Executive Director of Girls Incorporated of Delaware.[1]

Henry represents Delaware Senate District 2 which is located in the northern part of New Castle County, it includes parts of Wilmington as well as some of its suburbs.[3]
