Marietta School District Levy Renewals, 2 (March 2012)
Both measures were approved
The first measure sought to renew the current school levy which is set at a rate of $.29 per $100 of assessed value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for permanent improvement projects in the school district.
The second measure sought to renew the current school levy which is set at a rate of $.85 per $100 of assessed value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses as needed in the school district.[1]

The question on the ballot:
| Question 1: A renewal tax for the benefit of the Marietta City School District FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERMANENT IMPROVEMENTS including textbooks, school buses, technology and building renovations at a rate not exceeding two and ninety-five one-hundredths (2.95) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twenty-nine and one-half cents ($0.295) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.
Question 2: A renewal tax for the benefit of the Marietta City School District FOR THE PURPOSE OF CURRENT EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding eight and one-half (8.5) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to eighty-five cents ($0.85) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013. |
