Ruestman served as District Coordinator for U.S. Congressman Mel Hancock from 1989-1996, was Co-Owner of the Ruestman Construction/Real Estate Development Company, and District Director for Missouri State Senator Marvin Singleton.
She is Secretary of the House Majority Caucus, President of Women Legislators of Missouri, and a member of the Boys and Girls Club, First United Methodist Church, Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, Joplin Federated Republican Women, Metro Exchange Club, and Soroptimist International. She is married and has three children.[1]
