Biography
Smith earned her B.A. from Beaver College, and M.P.A. from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. Smith's professional experience includes working as a chair assistant for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; undersecretary assistant for United States Department of Commerce; national executive director of Women's School for New Directions; and a consultant.[1]

Smith won election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire House of Representatives, Strafford 6. Smith advanced past the September 11 primary and won election in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
2010
Smith did not seek re-election to Strafford 7 in 2010.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Smith finished fourth for the six-seat Strafford 7 District in New Hampshire receiving 5,730 votes, behind Democrats Janet Wall (8,056), Naida Kaen (5,936), and Emma Rous (5,815), and ahead of Democrats Judith Spang (5,668) and Timothy Horrigan (5,629) and Others (52).[4]
