Mark Hass (b. December 10, 1956) has been a Democratic member of the Oregon State Senate. He currently serves as Majority Whip. Hass served in the Oregon State House of Representatives from 2000 to 2007. He went on to join the Oregon State Senate in 2007. He has served in that position since, representing the 14th district.

Hass has worked as a Real Estate Agent, Professor, and Journalist. He is also a former reporter for KATU-television in Portland, Oregon. He is currently Brand Strategist for Cappelli Miles.

Hass earned his BS from the University of Oregon in 1978. He went on to receive his MA from American University in 1982.

Hass won re-election in the 2012 election for Oregon State Senate District 14. Hass was unopposed in the May 15 Democratic primary and defeated Gary Coe (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

On November 4, 2008, Hass was re-elected to the 14th District Seat in the Oregon State Senate, besting Lisa Michaels (R). [3] Hass raised $180,718 for his campaign, while Michaels raised $3,525. [4]
