Madsen served as Councilman for Eagle Mountain City Council from 2001 to 2004. He joined the Utah State Senate in 2005 and has served since. He represents the 13th district.
Madsen worked as General Counsel/Special Project Manager for the Larry H. Miller Group from 1999 to 2005. He then worked as General Counsel for Eagle Mountain Development from 2005 to 2008.
Madsen earned his BA in Spanish/American Studies from George Mason University in 2000. He then received his JD from Brigham Young University in 2003.
