Mark Tweedie is a 2014 Republican candidate for District 13 of the Connecticut House of Representatives. He was selected as a replacement candidate on September 9, 2014.[1] He ran unsuccessfully for the same seat in 2012.

Elections for the office of Connecticut House of Representatives will consist of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Joe Diminico was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Walt Bochnik was unopposed in the Republican primary. Diminico will face Mark Tweedie (R) in the general election. Bochnik withdrew from the race in late August.[2][3]

Tweedie ran in the 2012 election for Connecticut House of Representatives District 13. Tweedie ran unopposed in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012. He was defeated by Joe Diminico (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4][5][6]
