Mark Venie (born August 27, 1954) was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 44 of the Michigan House of Representatives. He ran unsuccessfully for the same seat in 2006.

Venie is a technical writer by trade, and the owner of Octagon Writing Group. He is a 1972 graduate of Waterford Township High School. He attended Oakland Community College and the GM-AUW Apprentice School from 1977-81.

Venie is an elder at Tri-County Christian Church, and coached AYSO soccer for 15 years.[1][2]

Venie ran in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 44. He was defeated by Tom Crawford in the Democratic primary on August 7.[3][4]
