Mark White (b. March 11, 1950) is a Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing District 83. He was first elected to the chamber in 2011. White previously served as State House Assistant Majority Floor Leader.

Biography

White graduated from the University of Memphis in 1974. He previously worked as principal of the Harding Academy in Memphis. White is now a small business owner.

White won re-election to the 83rd District Seat in 2010. He was unopposed in the August 5 primary.[4] He also faced no opposition in the general election on November 2, 2010.[5]

On Jan. 12, 2010, White won a special election to the 83rd District Seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives, defeating opponents Guthrie Castle (D) and John Andreuccetti (I). [6]
