Two Martinsville & Midland Village Current Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the villages of Martinsviile and Midland which are in Clinton County.

The Martinsville measure sought to renew the current expenses levy which is set at a rate of $.20 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to help pay for current expenses in the township.

The Midland measure sought to renew the current expenses levy which is set at a rate of $.30 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to help pay for current expenses in the township.[1]

The question on the ballot:

Martinsville Measure: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of Martinsville for the purpose of current operating expenses at a rate not exceeding two (2) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twenty cents ($0.20) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.

Midland Measure: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of Midland, for the purpose of current expenses, at a rate not exceeding three (3) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to thirty cents ($0.30) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
