Bentley earned her BS in Nursing from Harding University. She then worked for ten years for Arkansas Children's Hospital as a registered nurse in the Cardiovascular Intesive Care Unit. Benley is currently the owner of Bentley Plastics.

Bentley ran in the 2012 election for Arkansas House of Representatives, District 73. Bentley ran unopposed in the May 22 Republican primary and was defeated by John Catlett (D) in the November 6, 2012, general election.[2][3][4]
Personal
Bentley and her husband, Ted, live in Williams Junction and have three grown children.
