Issues
Mental health
In the 2013 session, which saw a group of bills relating mental health treatment early on, Caferro sponsored Senate Bill 11, calling for changes to Nebraska's parole and probation systems to rehabilitate mentally ill offenders. Social worker and bill proponent John Wilkinson told the Missoulian that mentally ill parolees would be required to comply with supervised treatment programs.[1]

On November 2, 2010, Caferro won election to the Montana State Senate. She defeated Dave Gallik in the June 8 primary. Patrick Faber ran for the seat on the Republican ticket.
