Mary Murphy is a Democratic-Farmer-Labor member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 3B since 2013. She previously represented District 6B from 1977 to 2013.

Murphy worked as a Social Studies Teacher at Duluth Central High School from 1964-1997, and is a historical preservationist.

She is Chair of the Saint Louis County Legislative Delegation, and a member of the Minnesota Delegation of the Great Lakes Commission, and the Pension Commission.[1]

Murphy won re-election in the 2012 election for Minnesota House of Representatives District 3B. She was unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 7 and defeated Keith MacDonald (R) in the general election on November 6.[2][3]
