Nichols won re-election in the 2012 election for Missouri House of Representatives, District 72. Nichols defeated incumbent Eileen Grant McGeoghegan and Paul Berry in the August 7 Democratic primary and defeated Patrick J. Brennan (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
