Maryland Dual Offices Exceptions, Question 3 (1996)
The Maryland Dual Offices Exceptions Amendment, also known as Question 3, was on the November 5, 1996 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure allowed non-elected members law enforcement, fire departments, or a rescue squad to also hold another office of profit and are eligible to be Senator or Delegates to the Maryland General Assembly.
