Mason County Fire District Levy Addition (April 2012)

A Mason County Fire District Levy Addition measure was on the April 17, 2012 ballot in the fire district area which is in Mason County.

This measure seeks to add to the current district levy by a rate of $.50 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of six years in order to further pay for maintenance and operational costs in the district.[1]

The question on the ballot:

The Board of Commissioners for Mason County Fire Protection District No. 2 adopted Resolution No. 263, concerning a proposition to finance maintenance and operations expenses. This proposition would authorize the District to levy taxes for the provision of emergency medical services pursuant to RCW 84.52.069 in an amount not to exceed $0.50 per $1000.00 of assessed valuation for each of six consecutive years beginning with levy year 2012 for collection in 2013.[2]
