The Massachusetts State Legislature to Regulate Abortion Amendment, also known as Question 1, was on the November 4, 1986 ballot in Massachusetts as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have allowed the state legislature to prohibit or regulate abortion.[1]
