The Massachusetts Death Penalty Constitutional Status Amendment, also known as Question 2, was on the November 2, 1982 ballot in Massachusetts as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure stated that no constitutional provision shall be construed as prohibiting the death penalty.[1]
