BOSTON, Massachusetts: Paul Adams, who first won election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2010, announced earlier this month that he will run for election to the Massachusetts State Senate in 2012.[1]
Adams previously represents the 18th Essex District, but the redistricting process moved him into the 17th Essex district. That district is currently occupied by incumbent Jim Lyons (R).[1]
The likely opponent for Adams in the Senate race would be incumbent Barry Finegold (D).[1]
The primary is currently scheduled to take place on September 6, 2012.
