Caldwell is a manager with Maxwell & Hendry Valuation Services, a real estate appraiser. He also serves in the East County Water Control District as chairman and as a member of the South Florida Water Management District's Lake Okeechobee Subcommittee, which helped develop plans for Everglades restoration.
