Hudson ran for re-election to the 101st District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the August 24 primary. Hudson defeated Larry Wilcoxson (NPA) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4]

On November 4, 2008, Hudson won re-election to the Florida House of Representatives from Florida's 101st District, defeating Maria Jimenez (D). Hudson received 36,113 votes in the election while Jimenez received 32,191 votes.[5] Hudson raised $187,334 for his campaign; Jimenez raised $43,307.[6]
