A McHenry School District 156 Bond Measure was on the April 5, 2011 ballot in the school district 156 area of both Lake and McHenry Counties.

This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $8 million in order to help pay for services and programs offered in the school as well as help pay for salaries. The school district planned to cut teacher positions and programs but residents were upset about the large cuts so the school proposed this measure to help with budget shortfalls. Groups had formed in favor and against this measure, both trying to educate voters on the issue.[2]
