Two Meigsville & Morgan Township Fire Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the townships of Meigsville and Morgan which are in Morgan County.

Both measures were approved

The Meigsville measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $.06 per $100 of assessed property value for a further three years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services in the township.

The Morgan measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $.15 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services in the township.[1]

Meigsville

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of the tax for the benefit of Meigsville Township for the purpose of FIRE PROTECTION at a rate not exceeding six-tenth (0.6) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to six cents ($0.06) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for three (3) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
