Issues

Campaign themes

Saxton's profile on Vote-KS.org highlights the following campaign themes:[1]

Legislative Representation

  • Excerpt: " I believe that as a community, the people of District 65 have not been represented. An example is the vote for a destination casino. The community voted for, but our representatives did not work to bring the casino to Junction City."

Gambling

  • Excerpt: "I will work to bring a destination casino to Junction City."

Healthcare

  • Excerpt: "I believe that the people of Kansas need affordable medical insurance, including dental insurance."

Family Farms

  • Excerpt: " I believe family farms need special tax breaks to support their continuation. I also believe that children who want to continue the family farm should receive tuition credits in agriculture and animal husbandry to encourage their desires."

Property Taxes

  • Excerpt: "I will work to put a limit on property tax to prevent it from being increased at a rate higher than the rate of inflation."
