Melvin Brown (b. February 15, 1938) is a Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 53 since 2007.

Brown previously served in the Utah State House of Representatives from 1986 to 2000. From 1993 to 1994, he served as House Assistant Majority Whip. He then served as House Speaker from 1995 to 1998.

Brown currently works as a Farmer and Consultant.

Brown earned his BS in Education from Utah State University. He went on to do Graduate Work in Educational Psychology at the University of Utah.
