Merle Phillips
Merle Phillips (b. September 21, 1928) was a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 108.
Phillips received his diploma from Lower Mahanoy Township High School in 1946. He then attended Susquehanna University.
Phillips served in the United States Marine Corps. He has also worked for Irish Valley Food Processing, Incorporated.
On April 8, 1980, Phillips won a special election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He served in that position until 2010, representing the 108th District.

On November 4, 2008, Phillips won re-election to the 108th District seat of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He received 18,217 votes, defeating Democrat Antonio Michetti (5,372).[1]
