Michael Barrett was a potential 2014 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 13th Congressional District of Texas. However, he never filed.[1] He previously ran as a Constitution Party candidate for the same office in 2010 but did not obtain ballot access.

Barrett stated the following about his political philosophy in a bio submission to Ballotpedia.[2]

"Constitutional Conservative, Ronald Reagan Conservative. Would like to overturn the Affordable Healthcare Act, the Patriot Act, CISPA, and introduce a 15% flat tax."
