Michael Caron is a member of the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority. He currently serves as interim Director.[1] Gov. Dan Malloy nominated Caron to serve on the three person regulatory authority on July 12, 2012.[2] His appointment was confirmed in the 2013 session of the General Assembly.[2]


Prior to his appointment, Caron was the Director of Public Affairs – Global Sites for Pfizer, Inc. and an associate lobbyist for the lobbying and business development firm Camilliere, Cloud & Kennedy.[2]

Political career

Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (2012-Present)

Gov. Dan Malloy appointed Caron to serve on the three person regulatory authority on July 12, 2012, and he was confirmed by the state legislature in 2013.[2]

Connecticut House of Representatives (1991-2009)

Caron served as a state representative from the 44th District for nine terms from 1991 to 2009 and as the Assistant Republican Leader for five terms from 1999 to 2009.[2]



Caron was appointed to the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority by Gov. Dan Malloy (D) on July 12, 2012.[3]
