Johnston's website highlights the following campaign themes:[1]

Economy

  • Excerpt: " I will continue to fight for workers rights, while pushing to make the process of starting a small business easier. Civil Rights

Government Spending & Accountability

  • Excerpt: "I will work to make every financial transaction by the state government completely transparent to taxpayers. Every citizen should be able to easily review the state’s income and line-item expenses easily and in an understandable form."

Education

  • Excerpt: " I will work to ensure that our school standards are focused on education, not testing, and that every child in Ohio is taught to her or his fullest potential."
