Michael Knapik is a Republican member of the Massachusetts Senate representing 2nd Hampden and Hampshire.
Education
Michael Knapik earned his Bachelors degree in political science in 1985 from the College of the Holy Cross.

Knapik's professional experience includes serving as a legislative aide for Massachusetts House minority leader Steven D. Pierce from 1989 to 1990.
Political Experience
Michael Knapik began his political experience on the Republican City Committee and the Westfield School Committee from 1986 to 1990. In 1991, he became a Massachusetts representative until 1994, in which year he became a Massachusetts senator. In 1997, Knapik became the Third Assistant Minority Floor Leader until 2002. He remains a Massachusetts senator to date.
