Michael Sheehy is a Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing District 46. He was first appointed to the chamber in June 2013 to replace Matt Szollosi, who resigned to take an executive director position for Affiliated Construction Trades.[1]


Sheehy earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo 1971. His professional experience includes working in a various of positions for CSX Railroad. Sheehy served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.[2]

Elections for the office of Ohio House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 5, 2014. Incumbent Michael Sheehy was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Andrew Blazsik was unopposed in the Republican primary. Sheehy defeated Blazsik in the general election.[3]
