Consejo is the owner and partner of Jay Village Inn. He has also worked as an Assistant Food Manager for Jay Peak Incorporated and as President/salesman of the L and T SAT System Incorporated.
Consejo earned his Technical Degree from the Paris National Attendance Electrical School in 1968. He then studied business at the Paris National Chamber of Commerce from 1975 to 1976.

Consejo won re-election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Franklin 4. Consejo was unopposed in the August 28 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Consejo won re-election to the Franklin 5 District in 2010. He ran against Brian Savage (R), Gregory Gervais (D), and Marianna Gamache (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]
