The Michigan Graduated Income Tax Amendment did not make the November 6, 2012 statewide ballot in Michigan as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. The measure would implement a graduated income tax. Currently, the state of Michigan has a flat income tax rate of 4.35 percent.

• A EPIC-MRA poll conducted April 27-May 3 found that the proposed measure supported by 64 percent, while 32 percent were opposed and 4 percent were undecided. The poll surveyed 600 likely voters and had a margin or error of +/- 4 percentage points.
