Mike Collier was a 2011 Democratic candidate for the Southern District of the Mississippi Public Service Commission. In a replay of the 2007 election, he lost to Republican incumbent Leonard Bentz in the general election on November 8, 2011.

August 2, 2011 primary

Democrats saw a three way contest between Collier, Thomas Blanton, and James Buckhaults. Since no candidate received 50 percent of the vote, the top two vote getters - Blanton and Collier - met in a runoff on August 23.
