Mike Gloor (b. November 27, 1950) is a member of the Nebraska Unicameral, representing District 35 since 2009.

Born November 27, 1950 in Alliance, Nebraska, Gloor represents the greater Grand Island area in the Nebraska Legislature. He is a retired Hospital CEO and served in the United State Air Force.[1] Prior to his election as Senator, Gloor served as a member of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce; chair, Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation Board; chair, Mid-Plains Community Mental Health Center Board; chair, Nebraska Hospital Association; co-chair, Heartland United Way Campaign; strategic policy committee, American Hospital Association; regional policy committee, American Hospital Association.[2]

Gloor earned his bachelor's degree from Hastings College in 1972, his M.S. from the University of Utah in 1976, and his M.H.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1987.

Gloor served in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976.

Gloor is involved with a number of organizations, including the American Hospital Association, Grand Island Chamber of Commerce, Grand Island Rotary, Heartland United Way Campaign, Mid-Plains Community Mental Health Center Board, Nebraska Hospital Association, and the Presbyterian Church.

Gloor currently serves on one non-legislative committee, the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation Board.

Gloor won election in the 2012 election for Nebraska State Senate District 35. Gloor was unopposed in the May 15 primary election and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Gloor won election to the 35th District Seat in the Nebraska Senate, defeating Gregg Neuhaus.[5]
