Mike Hamilton
Mike "Tuffy" Hamilton is a former Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 19 from 2003 to 2013.
Hamilton also ran for a seat on the Orange County Court bench in 2014 but was defeated at the primary stage.
Biography
Hamilton was first elected to represent HD-19 in 2003 and is a current member of the Land and Resource Management and Licensing and Administrative Procedures committees. He previously served as vice chairman of the Natural Resources Committee and is a former member of the Calendars Committee. Hamilton attended Lamar University and works as Owner of Tuffy's Eatery. He is a member and past President of the Texas Restaurant Association.[1]

2010
Hamilton won re-election unopposed to the 19th District seat in 2010.[4] He had no opposition in the March 2nd primary, and he had no opponent in the general election, which took place on November 2, 2010.

2008
On November 4, 2008, Hamilton won re-election to the Texas House of Representatives from Texas' 19th District, defeating Larry Hunter (D) and Richard Ramsey (L). Hamilton received 32,545 votes in the election while Hunter received 17,306 votes, and Ramsey received 1,064 votes.[5] Hamilton raised $422,945 for his campaign; Hunter raised $162,138.[6]
