Hebert is the Vice-President of Green Mountain Billing Service, Inc. He worked previously as a hospital administrator, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has coached baseball and softball, and served on the Brattleboro Union High School and Vernon Elementary School boards.

Hebert is a member of the Guilford Sportsman's Club and the NRA. He and his wife, Deborah, have two daughters and six grandchildren.
