A Millburn School District 24 Levy Increase measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the Millburn school district, which is in Cook County.

This measure seeks to increase the local property taxes by an average of $730 a year for local homeowners in the district area. The school board brought this measure to a vote due to budget deficits and the need to find $1.1 million to keep current programs in place in the schools.[1] A public forum was held to inform residents about the levy but also to let them have their views heard on other school issues. School officials noted that even if the measure is approved, more cuts would likely be needed before the school budget was balanced. Larger class sizes was one proposed option to reduce costs, but many parents who attended the meeting felt that smaller was still better for the students.[2]
