This measure sought to increase local property taxes in order to increase the school income by $1.1 million annually. The extra money would have gone towards balancing the budget and anticipating projected budget shortfalls in the coming school year. The resulting increase would have been $.75 per $1,000 of assessed value and would have added around $244 a year to local property tax rates.
