There is an elected County Attorney in each of Minnesota's 87 counties[1].
Campaign finance discipline
The County Attorney handles all campaign finance complaints that involve criminal law violations and matters not in the jurisdiction of the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board[2]. All matters are referred to the County Attorney comes from the Office of Administrative Hearings[3]. All other matters are handled by the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board[4].
