Three citizen initiated measures appeared on Missouri's ballot in 2002. None of them were successful, including an automatic referral, which appears on the ballot only every 20 years. The last time the proposal passed was in 1942. It will be up for a vote again in the ear 2022.

To see all measures that made the ballot in 2002, including legislative referrals, see: Missouri 2008 ballot measures.
