The Missouri Maximum School Taxes Rate Amendment, also known as Amendment 4, was on the August 3, 1982 ballot in Missouri as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have changed maximum school tax rates without voter approval, and would have authorized a higher school tax rate by simple majority vote.[1][2]
