The Medicaid Reinstated initiative or Statutory Amendment to Chapter 208 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, Pertaining to Reinstating Healthcare, 2008-018 is an initiated state statute that would reestablish the level of service and eligibility criteria that were in effect on January 10, 2005 for Medicaid.

It would also provide health care to residents earning minimum wage, to those whose incomes don't exceed 200 percent of the federal poverty level, and to disabled Missourians employed in sheltered workshops.

According to estimates provided by the State Auditor's office, the restored benefits would cost the state about $255 million a year.
