The Missouri School Voucher Amendment will not appear on the November 2012 ballot in the state of Missouri as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment.
The measure would have specified that parents or guardians have the right to choose any school for their children and would amend the ban on state funding to educational facilities controlled by religious organizations.[1]
The proposed measure was sponsored by Rep. Jason Barnes.

Text of measure
The proposed legislative would have asked voters:[2]
Shall the Constitution of the State of Missouri be amended to delete the ban on providing state funding to educational facilities controlled by religious organizations and replace it with a provision ensuring the freedom of parents or guardians of minor children to choose any accredited school of elementary or secondary education with the use of public funds?
Path to the ballot
In order to qualify for the ballot, the measure required approval by a majority of the members of each chamber of the Missouri General Assembly. As of January 12, 2012 the bill was not in queue to be heard by the General Assembly.[3]
